Well life has changed once again. but this time its a really good change.

I've moved back up to school and am LOVING it.

My roomates=awesome. My classes=super chill. My oppportunites to go crazy=limitless. It's the best.

I'm living in this little ghetto apartment but seriously, it's charming to me.

We have the best view of Logan and great people all around.

I've recently decided to get rid of the things slash people in my life that bring me down. I really don't need that.

My new glasses came yesterday. I haven't worn glasses since the 6th grade so i'm a little nervous. but so far so good. :)

This is the first year.. EVER that i have been okay with summer ending. I usually cry the whole first week of school. but honestly, I can't help but be happy.its weird.

I am taking a photography class with my sista annika and i think that may be my favorite class.

I still can't decide on a major.. time is ticking and it's stressin me out!

Yesterday me and my homegirl Kristen woke up at six and went for a run around campus. honestly, it made for a wonderful morning. I wanna do it everyday but let's be real 5 hours of sleep just isn't enough for my body.
I lost my new camera. total bummer. so once i find it i'll load some more pics.

I feel very lucky? is that the right word? maybe blessed? I don't know exactly. All i know is I am Happy to be Alive!

awkward and awesome.

okay so today was my last day of work at the pool.. for the whole summer. Crazy right? I mean it seems like just yesterday i moved home and started training and now, done until next year. But in honor of yet ANOTHER wonderful year at the pool, I thought i would share some awkward and awesome moments.

-The time  a grown man looked like a child under the kiddie slide. I blew my whistle and said "Hey bud, come out from under there please." I was shocked to see a man with a long beard look at me with this expression like "Huh? you talking to me??" shoot me now.

-When  a little boy came up to me with wide eyes. He pointed to my tube and said "excuse me miss lifeguard, do you have GUN in there??"

-During swimming lessons when i took a difficult little boy down the slide. Out of nowhere he looks back at me and says "Your legs are so Spikey!! (it gets super cold in the morning)

-One night after an insanely packed party FULL of little children, I was finally done for the night. As I'm walking back to the guard room all my coworkers are standing by the door. I  say just loud enough for them to hear "THAT WAS THE PARTY FROM HELL." uh guess everyone else heard too. they all turned and looked STRAIT at me. even my boss. woopsie (good thing he thought it was hilarious) :)

-Three times during the summer we are audited. This means someone comes in disguised as a patron and video tapes the lifeguards to make sure we are doing our job efficiently. Well they came towards the beginning of the summer. I had no idea they were here. Or that they video taped ME more than anyone else. & yes, they did catch me singing along intensely to the radio as I was watching my water. People still give me crap for it.

-The night the local juvenile correction facility came for a party, I was sitting at the top of the slide. It was towards the end of the party so there was just one boy waiting in line to go down. He stood up there leaning against the rails looking out of the city for a long time. Then he turned and said "Gosh i miss being free." Broke my heart.

vacation.

Welp I am one lucky chica. wanna know why?? 

-Today was my last day of work at the pool for ONE WHOLE WEEK. can i get a yipee?

-Wednesday morning bright & early I get to fly on a plane! (my favorite)

-I get to spend the whole weekend right by the beach in beautiful California.

-I'm getting the summer get-a-way that I dreamed about!

I have enjoyed my days out in the sweltering heat 

my nights in the cool summer breeze. 

Driving with the windows rolled down and my unruly hair flying

Rolling in the sand

stealing kisses on the beach

shopping trips for swim suits & flip flops

eating gelatas and talking about our dreams

family bbq's and togetherness times

short-shorts and tan skin

catching up with true friends

teaching kidlings how to swim

Bike rides around the park

skinny dipping in the deep end (shhh)

watching fireworks in the pool next to the one I love

screaming on rollercoasters 

exciting hellos 

& tender goodbyes

bonding time with co workers

the sweet smell of sunscreen embedded on my skin

stargazing on the tramp

Paddling the canoe 'till my arms are sore

eatin' hamburgers and milkshakes at the drive in

late night talks on the dock

Watching the summer sun fall out of sight.

& wishing i could stay right here. in this moment.

for the rest of my life.
