My current obsessions.

So i have this thing. where when i LOVE something i just REALLY love it. It's all i think about and all i dream about and usually what i talk about.then eventually it wears off and i'm on to the next "big idea". Sound familiar? i'm' not sure if anyone else suffers from this but sometimes it is downright exhausting! So here are some of my obsessions from the recent past and some from this very moment.

1. BIG trucks. If i could buy one for myself, I totally would. but for now i'll just enjoy riding along passenger. (after driving this baby my trusty car seems pittily.)

2. Wagon rides! hellllooooo what could be more fun than riding in the SAME wagon you got for your fifth birthday?! not much let me tell ya. (ps my little home bro and sassy sis make it even better)

3. 5 dollar DI projects. I never understood what my mom and sisters found so great about that place (it reeks and there are creepy men).. until I found out what it's all about. taking something cool.. and making it COOLER by adding a touch of YOU.so rewarding. ha at least that's MY take.(& lucky enough for me I had a trusty assistant who helped me remember what i was doing long enough for me to get it done)

After:

4.Time with my lovely family. (not in a creepy way) I have loved seeing them so often and doing crazy fun things with them like spur the moment massive pizza night! not to mention checking out the awesome animals at none other than Willow Park.
*Sidenote: I was very pleased to be able to help chase around the little monkeys.. (Hal-dawg and Navy)

5. Pistachio nut ice cream!! Gotta thank g&g Curtis for helping me discover my passion for this one. I'm not the biggest ice cream fan.. more a sherbet kinda gal but OH MY HECK. This stuff is T-A-S-T-Y.

6. Cut-Off Tees!! okay before you go judging me let me explain the dynamics. These things are a brilliant invention & totally efficient. all ya gotta do is scrounge up an old t-shirt, cut of the sleeves, rip down the sides and ta-da! there it is. they are the best for working out because you don't get all nasty sweaty like you do when you wear normal tees.(well actually you do you just don't feel so gross and sticky). It's the best! even though i do have to put up with some tough criticism from my family when they constantly tell me i look like white trash. ha ha what can ya do??
 7. BBQ and mustard sandwiches. the best sandwich i ever created. (yes, it is just how it sounds.) bread. mustard. and BBQ sauce. TRY IT!! (only if you're brave and have a strong stomach) :)

8. Rip: 60 and Sensa. The new diet/workout fads that I so blindly think are Miraculous! No but seriously i'm pretty sure they are.

9. The song "You were meant for me" by Jewel. yes I'm fully aware it is past it's prime. but i can't help but adore it.

Well there ya have it. I'm pretty sure there are more obsessions but i can't recall at the moment. Now i'm gonna get some SLEEP! I gotta big day ahead of me tomorrow. (shopping.. duh!)

moving out

Welp I survived my first year of college,&  That’s a big deal. It was a lot different than I thought it would be. Don’t get me wrong it was exciting and stressful and completely enjoyable..but I am extremely glad to be home for the summer. Summer has always been MY TIME. It seems like each year is marked by the Summer for me, if that makes any sense. At the end of each summer I always say “that was the best summer of my life” but somehow the next always gets better. Crazy. Anyway I know this summer is going to be a lot different than the others but I hope it is just as rewarding.

So I moved out of my wonderful “on campus” housing and it was a total pain. All the cleaning and scrubbing and packing.. not my fav. But on my last night there as I lied on my crap of a mattress, feeling the springs poke into my back and my listening to my roommate groan in her sleep on the otherside of our bookshelf, I started reminiscing about the past nine months. From  Coming to college with all the confidence in the world- to the nights I would lie awake crying because I just wanted to be home in my own bed. I thought about how much I had learned being on my own.. the good, and the bad. I thought about all the wonderful people I had met in Logan and the late nights that seemed so exciting at the moment. All the shuttle rides and awkward moments that luckily I can laugh about now, the meals I cooked that were a major failure, feeling so independent going places on my own, buying my first car, not having my parents around telling me when to be home. (I realized quick that novelty wears off )J it has been a great past nine month that I wouldn’t trade for anything. I’m  excited for what new adventures await me.

eww i will NOT miss those bathrooms.

Mark came to help! *good thing

today

Today went a little something like this:

-Woke up after pushing snooze at least 3 times.

-ate some scrambled eggs and cereal.

-got ready for the day.

-changed my outfit 4 times (yes, it was one of those days)

-scurried to the bus stop.(luckily no running this time) ;)

-took human development final.

-sold back some text books to the bookstore.(that place is a RIP)

-studied for energy final with steph and james. (& probably laughed more than studied) oops.

-took energy final

-got some free lunch from the institute (good thing, because i literally have milk, eggs and cereal..and that's all)

-tried to tan my pale skin. (meh)

-went to sign my housing contract for fall semester. (I'm living in total ghetto housing. but i think i'll love it.It's cheap, in a great location and I mean 6 girls &1 bathroom-what's not to love?? (sarcasm.) but really i'm excited.

-took an hour nap. which was interrupted by my home bro asking me what the web site was we use to prank call) ha ha i know, very mature.

-ate some frozen fish, canned peaches and garlic bread for dinner. impressive right?

-brushed up on my vocab terms for my US history final tomorrow.

-let out some stress doing rip:60. (the best part of the day)

-tried to be motivated to clean and pack up my things. Don't get me wrong, I'm VERY excited to be home.. but moving is a LOT of work.

Summer is only 2 days away for me!!!
